ugh...

You ever have one of those days? That is today. After these weekend of going and going, I am just spent. Last Friday, was Kevin's wedding rehearsal dinner(which is it technically a rehearsal dinner since we don't actually rehearse anything? Just another excuse to eat yummy food right?) Well all day I had been working on two different cakes- the wedding cake and then my Nephew's birthday cake. I decided to give fondant a try- I must say I like using fondant. I made four batches of marshmallow fondant- which tastes way better then the store bought kind- and used it on all the "cakes". The reason for the quoatation marks on cake, is because of the four cakes that I covered in fondant, only one was an actual cake (the birthday cake- which tasted delicious! and normally I don't like the cakes that I make but this one was awesome!) For Kevin's wedding cake, we had two layers of styrofoam, and then the top layer was of rice krispy treats- Nutella rice kripy treats my own invention and they are YUMMY.
So both cake turned out awesome- not perfect but for never having any experience with fondant, and basically figuring it out all on my own, I think I did a pretty good job. I will eventually post pics, I forgot to take one of the i-pod cake for Jesse, but I think my sis might have some.
The wedding was fun. It was a good time. Bronson was a doll in his little tux, and was such a trooper with his cold that decieded to hit him that morning.
Everything went off really well, and we all had a great time.
It was a long weekend, and I now getting sick- not fun. I think it is because I was running around so much, and it just wore me out, now I am paying for it (Seriously, sore muscle three days later)
