Is this what an outer-body experience is like?

That is how I always feel when I am at the dentist getting some work done on my teeth. I praise whomever discovered/invented the laughing gas. That stuff does wonders when you are at the dentist. With that said, it seriously messes with your mind. I dare you to try and remember all of your thoughts well you are under the influence of this gas. I believe that this is when I do my best thinking, but unfortunately I can't remember the thoughts to often.
Also what is amazing is that I can focus my brain enough when being asked important questions by the dentist- does that hurt? Can you feel that? Do you want silver or composite filling?
You can hear everything going on around you, but it is like you somehow are almost watching it like an observer, and not actually being the one who is having the work... it is weird. Probably the closest I will ever come to having an out of body experience.

Plus on another note- I think that Dentists might be some of the most tortured people. My dentist is really nice(and very hot) and is always apoligizing for the potential pain- always saying things like - "this is going to pinch a little", "raise your left hand if you feel any pain", "just a little pressure." I feel bad for them, I am sure that they do not like torturing people (unless you are the dentist on Little Shop of Horrors). That must be why they are always apoligizing.
Truthfully the part that I hate the worst is when they are giving you the shot of novcaine. After that, as long as I have been properly numbed, I am good to go!
Here is a video of Little Shop of Horrors in case you don't know what I am talking about- this is nothing like my dentist.
