I'm So Mad when Daddy Comes Home

So you know how on every Father's day, (and Mother's day) in church the little kids get up and sing the various primary songs to pay tribute to thier Fathers. I really do not like this. With my little bit of musical experience that I have, it just kills my ears to hear this- and there is always that one little kid who is screaming above everyone else.
The only time that I am potentially excited for this is on Father's day- and this is because of something my Dad taught me. Although- if you ask him, he will deny it completely.
Well- when the little primary kids get up on Father's day I just pray that they will sing the song- I am so Glad when Daddy comes home.
For those of you who don't know the words- they go like this (sorry no tune, could not find it to add. Although there are some You Tube videos- of course- if you really need the tune)

I'm so glad when Daddy comes home.
Glad as I can be!
Clap my hands and shout for Joy
And Climb up on his knee
Put my arms around his neck,
Hug him tight like this.
Pay his cheek and give him what?
A Great big kiss.

So you can imagine that since it is a Primary song, the have actions that go with it.
Well when I hear this song I giggle- and it is even worse if any of my siblings are around because this is the version that my dad taught us.- sung with some emotion.

I'm so Mad when Daddy come home.
Mad as I could be.
Stomp my feet, and pull his hair.
And kick him in the knee
Put my hands around his neck,
Squeeze him tight like this.
Smack his cheek, and give him what?
A big FAT lip.

Now imagine the actions that would go along with that one. And imagine the confusion in Primary when we finally learned the REAL words to the song.
Another reason that I love my Dad.
